Students in Ms. Dietz 4th Grade class discussed the affect that we as humans have on animals, specifically endangered animals. What would you do if you were given the last truffula seed? |

February 2015
Students in Ms. Oziel and Mr. Avara's classes investigated how humans can impact ecosystems. They simulated low water conditions (normal) and high water conditions (caused by human construction) using macaroni to represent water and Skittles candies to represent fish. Students found that the human-caused conditions made fishing very difficult for the Roseate Spoonbill birds and they could not catch enough fish for their offspring to survive. |
